SpiderForest Comic of the Week:
Chirault by Varethane.
Chirault is a charming, lighthearted fantasy romp about a girl named Teeko and Kiran, a demon hunter. Teeko is accidentally shrunk by a magic spell to the size of a mouse, and she ends up riding on Kiran’s shoulder as they look for a way to undo the spell as well as save a city or two from imploding. That’s the gist of it, though my summary doesn’t do the comic justice at all… Chirault balances its humor and small character moments with a larger plot (the imploding cities bit) rather well. And I must say, the frog demon that Kiran fights at the beginning of the story is one of the creepiest (yet cool-looking) things I’ve seen in visual fiction in awhile…
