Twilight Lady Sings the Blues
No, you haven’t stepped through a portal to some monochrome alternate universe… this is a scene from Twilight Lady Sings the Blues, an all-new 10-page tale written by me and illustrated by the guest art team of Federico Zumel and James Taylor.
Jen, on her first out-of-town gig, runs into a blind bluesman haunted by the ghost of murder ballads past… and when murder is involved, can the Lady in the Hood be far behind?
Twilight Lady Sings the Blues is available as a bonus short story in Twilight Lady Book 2: Oblivion Symphony, a downloadable digital graphic novel in various formats.

Hi!
I donated now. I’m wondering though, how is this getting a pdf thing supposed to work? I got some “method” error something on this page after following the “back to” link from paypal – did I miss something there?
You should also be getting an e-mail with a link to download the PDF. If you’re still not able to, let me know!
Ah, got it now, so there was no problem after all.
Thanks!
Glad to know. Thanks for donating!
Did anyone else donate and was unable to get the PDF? E-mail me and I’ll sort it out.
I finally donated:-) Thanks for the many months of awsomeness!
Thanks for donating, and the many months of reading and commenting!
Out of curiosity, xcal, did the paypal URL re-direct work for you? Or did you have to use the link in the e-mail?
it’s a pleasure Blake:-) the re-direct worked perfectly for me. paypall sent me to a page with instructions to rt-click and save-as.
I finally got around to putting some money in the pot and reading that lovely little side story. (And, yes, the download link worked for me. Although I had to turn off cross-site scripting protection to get the donation function to work properly…)
I dare not praise it too highly, lest I ruin it for other people by filling them with expectation. But I will say, I think I would have liked that even if it weren’t part of Twilight Lady. Excellent work as always, Mr. Chen.
Wow. Just wow. I found this place last night, and have – since then – read the entire thing from front to back. Awesome work! I’ve suggested it to several friends, and I think that I – myself – am well and truly an addict. Keep up the good work!

Albert – can’t thank you enough for your continued support, in all its myriad forms. Kip – welcome aboard. Do you realize that, in the space of one night, you have managed to get to the same point that longtime readers like Albert (as well as myself) have taken months to reach? Such is the modern miracle known as the webcomic archive section…
