Tat’s the face of a guy who realizes only just now he stepped into it without checking who exactly he was dealing with and suddenly worries whether his confidence was warranted…
Great truth is spoken here: Its balance that we should strive for, no matter which values we champion. Zealotry in any direction is just tragedy waiting to happen.
Is it me, or does Jen’s hair now look like it has a more grey tint to it?
Very observant…
@RQ I would blame it on the lighting except for the fact that her hair used to be red then continued to get darker and darker. Now it is getting lighter?
Actually, Lothanus, J.K.’s response was sarcastic for a reason : the little grey tone has been there since beginning of chapter. As for that fact, and the fact they were getting darker (and her eyes changing shape too), it’s been discussed as Jen slowly becoming the Lady’s avatar instead of just a host, as a consequence of the Lady being trapped more permanently.
There was no sarcasm intended from me! The change is fairly subtle, after all.
@Rens. I think it’s more the fact that her little speech and fighting stance has mad him realize that he might have under estimated his opponent. I’d stop waiting for the other Nemiski to recognize their founder. The lady has stated on several occasions that she left the order so long ago that it has split into several factions, none of which remember their origins.
As far as just merely recognizing her as the lady in the hood, I get the impression that most of the other realms she’s traveled consider her to be some of myth, and even if they did know her, they would not recognize her stuck in Jenifer’s body, and stripped of most of her power.
Oh, I would expect someone will recognize her eventually… somebody higher up, who understands the full degree of the threat she poses.
The Watchers must be watched, indeed.
