They disapeared following the transition between 3D style to first comic style. Now we’re in 2nd comic style, and looks like they’re not back yet.
Another thing that changed following the 3D->2D transition is Jen loosing her asian facial type and getting much longer hair.
As far as i’m concerned, i don’t mind those changes. A newer artist can’t follow perfectly a previous one, even on a same project. That’s what makes them who they are : their signature style of drawing the same thing. 🙂
I’m sure you worked very hard on this new style, and it’s beautiful, but…
I was so wholly in love with the style you used to draw Occupy Senserealm that this new style is a bit of a disappointment.
I love your plotlines, but honestly, I choose comics based on the art rather than the plot.
Although I started with Dance of the Indwellers, I was only a half-hearted fan.
It was the style of Occupy Senserealm that really got me hooked!
I know you have to finish out this chapter in this style,
but when Way of the Ghost is complete, you might think about switching it up.
Even if you don’t go back to the delicious lines you used for Occupy, I’m not crazy about feel of this chapter and would be game for something new.
Mekachi, the style changed because there’s another person drawing it, the previous artist having left due to personal reasons. Blake can’t just “switch it up” as he likes.
Personally I quite like it; it has clear differences from the previous one, but I have learned to take each change in style as an “evolution” of the comic and enjoy each new phase in its own. 🙂
Mekachi, to further clarify what Ghanima said, I (Blake JK Chen) am the writer of this series. I also did the CG art for Volumes 1-3.
The art for Volume 4 (“Indwellers”) and “Occupy Senserealm” was by Przemyslaw R. Dedelis. If you like Przemyslaw’s work (well, clearly you do) you may be interested to know he and I are working together on a new, upcoming comic project (still in its infancy, so I can’t divulge too much).
The current artist for Twilight Lady (as you can see from the credits above every comic update) is Emilio Jorge Mongiovi.
Ah, that explains a lot. Wait, there are credits above the comic? Oh, yes, there are. That… makes complete sense. Ha ha, sorry, don’t mind me! I can be rather oblivious sometimes… *Inches toward the exit, then dashes around the corner.* >_>
What happened to Jen’s freckles. Miracle cure? Can of freckle be gone? Lots and lots of makeup? hmmmm…….

Meekah has a pretty tail.

That makes me so sad! I am really going to miss Blake and his beautiful art work. Who is the new artist?
