Seems she did kill him. I stand corrected.
Judging from what he said, their psionic battle was at the speed of thought, but she thought a tad faster and more devious.
She also seems to have achieved a few things he had been taught were impossible. They may be impossible for him, but she apparently has a little more experiance.
It is really sad that he had to die, I did like him even so he was a bit of a knowitall.
All over all a very sad scene.
