Oooh this is so good. Even if we’d alrady talked about the circle of life/death, this one caught me completely off guard. I’m mildly annoyed by my own feelings of cluelessness as to the story development but damn, I love the surprises.
““Iife is a prison for those who have seen heaven” quote Me, just now”” What is your name so I can use this quote for school. But ‘d rather give full credit to you.
Hey crystal, I wouldn’t quote me, a google search came up with similar concepts – you may want to do one of them 🙂
If you really want to then just quote my handle Snowgods, or snowgods000 (You can google that too although others are using snowgods now – but I was first – try winamp)
What I think is interesting(and slightly political) is that by the time he’s reincarnated(adding a soul to the unborn child), the child is already nearly fully developed. Is this a subtle endorsement of abortion in the first two trimesters? (P.S. I don’t really care what your beliefs are, just found it amusing =D)
OMG, consumed by reincarnation? And I love the idea that the soul progresses in the subrealm as much as being alive! You really know how to bend minds.
But on page 53-54, he states clearly that he was looking for what was beyond “the circle of death and rebirth”.
Looks like he got rebirth… maybe that was the “trap” The Lady was talking about? His “sources” lied to him…but why would anyone in the subrealm want to lead someone back to life?
This just gets weirder and weirder (in an awesome way!)
“Iife is a prison for those who have seen heaven” quote Me, just now
That is a very very cool picture. Brilliant optic, nice punch line.
Very well done!
Didn’t see that coming. Brilliant, just brilliant. It’s no wonder this has become my favorite webcomic!

Ah, damn, I thought there was going to be disintegration of the self, not reincarnation. 😛
Hmm. Why was Takami wandering around subrealm for ages though? Do all souls do that if they don’t have help (eg from the Lady) moving on and up?

This is the most disturbing depiction of birth I’ve ever seen. It must be hard to pull that off.
Oh, I can’t restrain myself: in one gaping cavern, out another.
Dude, I have just discovered your webcomic in the last day or so. I LOVE what you’ve done with it. Keep up the great work.
“Why was Takami wandering around subrealm for ages though?”
He was reinventing his self, and looking for the path that leads beyond.
“Do all souls do that if they don’t have help (eg from the Lady) moving on and up?”
ALL souls? Hey, your guess is as good as mine. 😉

“Is he…?”
“Back in prison? Sadly Yes.”
HA! AWESOME!!
FANTASTIC twist!!

Wow. What an interesting interpretation of the journey of a human soul. =) Such creativity. Might be true too.
One word: Whoa!
I’m not sure when I started today but I’ve read from page 1 to here and I’m VERY certain that it was at least two hours ago…I’m hooked.
Great work Blake!

It is two years farther on and new readers are still saying…
OMG! That bent my brain.
