Then she should feel the presence of The Lady and of Nobelay. How come she doesn’t? Does it take concentration or isn’t she as good as she thinks she is?
The LADY is still in a body. She doesn’t sense bodies, and she already knows about Nobelay. She just hasn’t figured out how to get rid of it/them, yet. (Without the help of plants… ahh, worship the weed!)
i love how series like this keep coming up with characters who insist “oh, demons are just like us” and generally downlplaying the DANGER involved….and almost inveriable, they either get et, or lead other people into getting et. One should not have to lay thier hand on a hot stove to be able to figure out you aren’t supposed to DO that. Barnum was right..there really is a sucker born every minute.
Looks like some old lady turns out to be a medium in her own rights. Still need to see how good she is though. I guess we’ll get to see it when Nobelay shows up in empowered form. 🙂
@uhl: Even if The Lady is dormant within Jen’s body it shouldn’t make her less of a spirit and by feeling their presence I meant their immediate presence.
The way I understand it, basicly all living things are spirits, even regular old hiumans. A bodied spirit, like the Lady, may not stand out much when compared to regular humans.

One could argue that all those stories where they get “et” are simply anti-spiritual propaganda.

I wonder if this is the opportunity The Lady needs to be able to walk free again.

Then what about Jen’s spirit? Wouldn’t she be able to sense at least something from her?
Isabella is probably looking for something specific. Probably not paying attention to Jen at all. But I suppose I could be wrong…
