The Indwellers, Pg 4
It’s a brand new month at Topwebcomics, so please VOTE.
Not only will you get a nifty preview of the next update, but you’ll help introduce a lot of people to our Lady who might otherwise never know her.
And for them to not know her would be a great tragedy, would it not?
Blake, I just want to say thank you- I’ve been following Twilight Lady for some time now, and I appreciated the art before, and enjoy it now too. You might think you didn’t do the job you wanted in creating the originals, but they worked for me. Your new artists are doing a great job too.
Her guitar is always backwards when strapped on, is this intentional? I feel like a big doofus for asking, but I have a few similar ones and I wouldn’t dream of digging strings into my back :). P.S. Great job, very interested in new story line(though I’ll miss the old art for its sheer novelty)
“You might think you didn’t do the job you wanted in creating the originals, but they worked for me.”
Thanks. It was more like I felt that as long as I was doing both the writing and art, I could never be as good a writer, or as good an artist, as I wanted to be.
I had to give one up (for the time being, at least) and devote myself fully to the other.
Which also opens the door for others to come in and express their talents…
“Your new artists are doing a great job too.”
I completely agree!
“I have a few similar ones and I wouldn’t dream of digging strings into my back”
Let’s just say Jen is really protective of her strings…
Blake: Yeah, but that Ain’t Good for the bridge. Not something you’d do to an acoustic; can’t vouch for electric.
Better excuse: Unusually form-fitting (fabric?) guitar case. That also justifies why we can’t see the tuning mechanism. And I know VERY few guitarists who will travel more than a few feet without putting their instrument in some sort of case to protect it; that also gives them a place to store picks and capos and so on.
Best excuse: Just not worth drawing that much detail when we have more important things to worry about…
BTW, this shot confused me. I always thought of Catacomb as being _down_ from street level. Different club? New location? Or just distracted reader?
Actually, Catacomb has always been shown to be up from street level. Or at least, the entrance has.

Perhaps you were thinking more metaphorically? 😉
