ROFL! I was EXACTLY going to comment “Chud?” now I must think of a better comment.
The Huntress values Whisper more than her usual prisoners. I wonder, is the Huntress in charge of this prison and the guards? or has she gone out on a limb to protect Whisper?
Hmm, one chud just doesn’t seem right. That seems like it ought to be a repeating attact like chud.chudha.chud.chud with half the room falling to pieaces and casings flying everywhere.
Belahm just doesn’t want anyone damaging her merchandise before it’s sold. That may well be a buyer; I don’t think it makes much difference to the Huntress.
My knowledge of slave-trading comes from sci-fi/fantasy…Pug was the greatest slave EVER! oh, and the one Asterix&Obelix comic 😉 anyway, the slaver and the auctioneer are often different entities. So the guards could be controlled by the auctioneers, and Behlam is the slaver/seller. I don’t see her as a good team player/leader! and rangers/hunter people are loners (again, in sci-fi/fantasy worlds)
That would explain why Belahm is wearing her formal wear. (I get the impression troll formal wear would be designed to amplify their ugliness rather than make any attempt to cover it up. Refuge in audacity and all.)
As for Belahm as a team player… remember that she hires mercenaries when necessary. I think she can keep control of a group as well as she can keep control of herself. (She seems to have this aura of intense discipline if you ask me. She only gets angry when she LETS herself get angry. Probably very unusual for a troll; and it’s probably the reason she’s never had to kill anyone.)
Chud?

@xcal Maybe it was because of the fashion advice.
1.) This is her show, so the guards are indeed hers to command/ abuse.
(Furthermore, the guard attacking whisper REALLY cuts down the market value.)
2.) Whisper was right! That outfit DOES make the Huntress look stupid.
