She’s either just trying to get Belahm to talk, or else to do something stupid (like take her out of the cage)… or she’s just given up all hope and is metaphorically spitting in her captor’s face. Not antagonizing the man with the gun is all well and good if you have some expectation of getting out of the situation. And in their case, getting killed might be preferable to having their limbs cut off over and over again for all eternity (if they’re anything like Jason’s friends).
What Whisper thinks she’ll accomplish even if she does set Belahm off I don’t know — we, and she, know that Belahm lets herself be provoked in her overconfidence, not that this did the Lady much good — but maybe she thinks that a snowball’s chance in hell is better than the inevitable. It’s not like she knows Rona is coming for her; and she’s not the type to just meekly sit back and let them mutilate her. I have to applaud her courage, if nothing else.
You know, two and a half years after the fact, I have to wonder…
why are her eyes red, her lips black, and why is she suddenly cursing every couple of lines? Not that I’m complaining, but nobody else seemed to notice…
she’s appealing to the huntress’ sense of vanity…interesting technique to use, let’s hope it works!
(it’s my birthday today :D)
Oh, my gosh. It’s taken me two days, and I’ve finally gotten from the start to here.
Just thought I’d mark my achievements.
either that or she’s intentionaly ticking her off
Does she WANT to get dismembered? If “The Lady” can be tortured, a human soul is child’s play.
Not totally discounting that “technique” theory….
And oh… Happy Birthday Gillybean! 😛
“And oh… Happy Birthday Gillybean!”
Seconded!
And Saera… welcome to the present.
