Symphony in the Key of Oblivion, Pg 35B
Rona’s apparent personality shift here is a result of events that occurred in a previous Twilight Lady tale, The Realm in the Middle.
The Realm in the Middle is available as a downloadable digital comic for Kindle, Nook, and iPad, as well as in PDF and CBZ formats as part of the collected volume, Demon Corridor.
I am finally getting it. Am I. 😉
pretty cool stuff so far … it has to be to induce a full length one night archive crawl from me 🙂
So now we have a glimmer of what Elanor was up to. Strange that the man doesn’t notice her speech patterns are a bit off. Maybe he’s just still in shock.
Hmmmm. . . Wonder if the lady knows what’s going on back at the ranch.
I wonder! Has the lady ever hurt a soul? not to my recollection.
In the alternate realm: are the people represented by their souls, or simply ‘other’ bodies? I ask because The Lady was hurt in that realm…what was it that got hurt? her soul, or her alternate body? so this question extends to that eye-gor family (and the Hobbit-dude)…were their souls destroyed (hurt), or just their physical bodies?
Just re-read entire series.
Was really wondering why continuity suddenly broke – things make a lot more sense when you read it in one go.
Tahrey… welcome aboard. Full length one night archive crawls are highly recommended. Just ask Snowgods000.
Azure… bear in mind Patrice has only known Rona for about a day, and that he’s French and may not be totally familiar with English language patterns, let alone American speech patterns. And it’s not like her speaking voice has changed…
xcal… xcal-llent question!
Snowgods000… make sense? Who ever said this was supposed to make sense?
Haha! So Eleanor’s plan comes in to view…
I wonder what other things do they plan to do with Rona’s “body’… 😛
So Jason is being deliberately deceptive. Hmm. Rona needs to deal with that possession issue… especially if she’s going to be spending a lot of time out of body.
xcal: The best hint we have toward that is what the Lady said when she came back: “What was never broken has no need to heal, dear.”
Her astral body is just a projection, methinks. But she may actually be classed as an astral traveler; her true soul is probably safe and sound inside Jen’s brain. It’s probably different for dead people, or natives of subrealm. Like I said, having a body in senserealm has its advantages.
haha just read everything. this is pretty neat. i like where it is going.
Well spotted Albert:-) I remember her saying that. hmm, that sparks more random thoughts, but I’m late for work now:-( I will think them through in the traffic! or maybe just drive mindlessly to work;-)
hi i just spent like the last 2 days reading all the epsiodes of your comic and i wold just liek to say it is very interesting and i look forward to reading more!
ok, according to Hinduism all creation is merely God’s Maya, or divine illusion. Nothing is real. Buddhists also believe that there is no substance to what we perceive as the ‘real world’. In the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Li Mu Bai says: “The things we touch have no permanence. My master would say: there is nothing we can hold onto in this world. Only by letting go can we truly possess what is real.”
Is this The Lady’s belief when she says “what was never broken has no need to heal”?. Or is it more practical like Albert’s generally sound theory…I don’t know about her soul being in Jen’s brain, but that’s a different topic 😉
Something like that, certainly. The Lady does have a higher mode of perceiving these things, and I’m sure what she said there has something to do with a deeper truth about thought and form and existence. Not that I can think exactly what, right now.
