Symphony in the Key of Oblivion, Pg 22B
The above scene is a consequence of events that occurred in a previous Twilight Lady tale, The Realm in the Middle.
The Realm in the Middle is available as a downloadable digital comic for Kindle, Nook, and iPad, as well as in PDF and CBZ formats as part of the collected volume, Demon Corridor.
Wait a minute …. who’s exactly /in/ her body?
Considering that we’re dealing with Lenore here, my first guess would be the mugger trio. The ones who are indirectly responsible for Rona meeting “the Cass Corridor Killer” in the first place. I’m not entirely sure what Lenore’s got in mind for the French guy, but considering she traded a prime specimen to the Huntress for his soul, and his sentence is not up yet. I don’t think she’s going to kill him, or set him up to be killed, but she IS going to do something to make him wish he WAS dead.
Well, that’s one less loose end.
looks more to me like it creates another loose end for the good guys. Also moving the body kinda sets things in motion which could get our intrepid killers found out don’t you think, I mean if their plans don’t work out the way they expect them to…
By the way, happy new year.
I thought her name was Eleanor. When we first saw her (Cass Corridor, strip 7), she said she was a “guardian angel” fighting the evil Cass Corridor Killer. I wonder what she’s really guarding?
Her own arse most likely.
Actually I think she was protecting the soon to be victims of the Cass Corridor Killer, I don’t think she’s actually after the killer. Well in part at any rate, I think Eleanor is actually a usurper, not a protector. If I’m right she’s trying to steal the ladies powers for her own, This would explain a great deal of things if it’s the actual truth of the situation.
Always a new twist! They say the top running joke of the “angels” is to go ahead and give the mortals what they ask for.
The Buzzcomixs “Vote” button is down.I’m sure you know this already Mr.Chen.It didn’t get canceled because of low votes I’m sure.Twilight Lady received more votes than 2/3’s(give or take) of the comic’s there.I’m just wondering if you’ll be replacing it with another vote button of some kind.I like being able to vote for my favorite comic at as many places as possible-as often as possible!
Thanks for voting. Yeah, I’m not sure what’s going on with Buzzcomix. Their site seems to be down. I’ll give it a couple of days to see if they get back up before switching to a different comic listing site.
Eleanor is trying to destroy the lady. No doubt. what i wonder is why not kill the vamp too. Isn’t he evil as well? Nice twist Blake. Oh wait remember when Rona was in Jen’s apartment and she saw the begger in the mirror. Maybe he is sharing her soul like Jen/Lady. IDK, just sounded good
I sincerely doubt any character in this comic can be labeled “good” or “evil”…that sort of moral judgment just doesn’t fit with the tone of the world, or the deep and interesting characterizations Mr. Chen has developed. While I certainly see Elenore as an Antagonist, with Rona, The Lady, and Jen as Protagonists, this isn’t nearly the same thing.
Eleanor isn’t trying to destroy the Lady because she’s evil. (I don’t think the Lady can really be called evil.) Her only business is with those that take souls from senserealm prematurely. She probably thinks vampires are immensely foolish, but they’re no real concern of hers.
Both Eleanor and the Lady are surely angels. Is one of them fallen?
I don’t know if the Lady can be considered an angel either… though she seems to have similar powers, she doesn’t have the same purpose. (I don’t think she could be held to any purpose not of her own choosing.) Personally I think the Lady is a higher order of being… though I could be mistaken.
Eleanor considers the Lady as evil is what i meant. I was looking from Eleanor’s view
Ah-ha!! Dastardly Jason finally re-surfaces!!
How dastardly of you, Eleanor!!
@xcal: Can’t both be fallen?
