Spectrum: I’m pretty sure the Doctor qualifies as an entity. As do you and I.
eoraptor: If they wouldn’t be able to handle one, an invasion would be unstoppable. So assuming it’s possible to stop the invasion, this plan can’t be too bad.
What they’ve done is not that dissimilar to a modern vaccination. They’ve invited ONE in to raise the awareness of people so they can prepare to defend against the rest. With most people not believing in the supernatural, and many of the ones that do thinking that outsiders are all friendly (look at the way the crowd responded to the creature), seeing one come in and start eating people would cause the loss of a few, but hopefully save the majority of the population. I’m not necessarily saying it’s a good idea, but maybe not completely insane, either.
I guess Grull’s race forgot the value of building up some good PR before they actually show up…You know, write a book…Like “How To Serve Man,” or something.
Nom, Nom, Nom?
Don’t you just hate it when your expecting one entity and another shows up?
That’s not really another entity and more ‘the Professor’ still being in there.
“gee, their here to feast on the corpse of our planet… so let’s let one right in”
the words “tactically unsound” and “batshit insane” both spring to mind.
Heh, it’s the Psi.I.A.
I’m with Eoraptor! What’s so hard to understand in “I want to serve man”…on a platter!
