Father said, “There’s no formal membership. But I have been involved with them in the past… helping victims of paranormal threats.”
The first half of that sentence is true enough. But he makes it sound like he was WORKING WITH the group on one or more occasions. That doesn’t make sense to me.
As I understood it, when Jen, Rona, and Father were trying to help Father’s friend (who unknowingly shape-shifts into extinct animals), that was the first time any of them met Lucas Scheider or Mr. & Mrs. Dreyfuss. Lucas said he HATED men of the cloth for preaching fear and he and Marjorie proceeded to beat on him to the brink of death. So why didn’t Father make it clear that he’s crossed paths with them before, but that he was never on their side?
I’m thinking they are probably a small part of a larger organization, one that doesn’t always take such extreme measures, and that Zorro is referring to things we havn’t seen.
Another perfect cliffhanger moment to cut away and see what the rest of the crew is doing…
mr. Nader! I’m sure that the truth hurts.
and what society is this? reminds me of the Talamasca
Awwwwkward.
