A Whisper from the Land of Quiet, Pg 8
This “Takami” individual that Belahm mentions plays a significant role in a previous Twilight Lady tale, The Realm in the Middle.
The Realm in the Middle is available as a downloadable digital comic for Kindle, Nook, and iPad, as well as in PDF and CBZ formats as part of the collected volume, Demon Corridor.
The Huntress is a little overconfident if she thinks she’s defeated the Lady this easily…
I wonder if she’s on the same side as Eleanor.
I’ve already seen one chink in The Huntress’s armour — she may not have killed but she did break The Lady’s fingers so, whilst turning The Huntress’s karma against her won’t kill her, broken fingers have got to hurt! Furthermore, she is not above inflicting pain so…
I suspected that’s where Rona’s father went (after all it looked like a womb that he went into) so I wonder where and when he’ll be born.
Killing would not affect Karma so strongly. Which of us has never killed a fly? a mosquito? Hundreds of millions of bacteria? We kill incredibly frequently, though most of us do not realize it. Some might say that some lives are worth more than others, some might say that killing your own kind is worse than killing others. Personally, I disagree with both of these, which, by simple deduction, would conclude that either we are all heartless monsters, or else killing is not evil after all. Of course, it depends on the ccircumstances. For instance, the Lady is generally reluctant to kill those whom wish to live(with the exception of murderers, and yes, I do remember her explanation for this, but I personally do not buy it, particularly after seeing this strip).
Anyway…as I was saying, it is not the act, but rather the intention that affects Karma, and it would appear that the huntress’ intentions are none too pure. Either the Lady does not understand/believe this enough to use it, or else it’s not truly Karma that she uses.
Belahm’s outfit makes her butt look big.
Francisco – you’re just gonna have to wait for the rematch. 😉
Marut – Certainly, there’s nothing to suggest the Lady’s abilities are not directly connected to her own individual beliefs/understanding of how the multiverse operates. Or at least, it was never my intention to suggest otherwise. Does that spare me from any undesired karma?
Mmm, so could she gain the ability to defeat Belahm if she were to change her understanding/beliefs of the multiverse?(Granted, this is not exactly easy to acomplish, from one whom knows.)
One other question…Didn’t the lady once “kill” a demon by kissing it? So, how could that lesser demon be able to hold her, if not just her hands are deadly? Couldn’t she just touch her chin to a tentacle or something?
(I am referring to her meeting with the thug’s friends, when they were trees.)
Well, below are two instances of the Lady kissing an intended “victim”.

Note that in both cases, she also happens to be making contact with a hand (or two).
Make of that what you will…
Of course. My apologies for not double-checking.
I think that the bulk of ‘generated’ Karma has got to do with one’s intentions. Killing a fly with the intention of doing wanton destruction is *probably* different from kililng a fly to keep a clean kitchen.
I agree whole-heartedly. Well, maybe 98% heartedly.
