Haven’t had one of these threads in awhile. Since end of September in fact. So… if you’re a new reader who jumped on board these last few months (or a longtime reader who’s yet to comment), it would be very helpful (and greatly appreciated) if you let me know 1) how you discovered Twilight Lady and 2) what other comics (print and/or web) you read and enjoy.
… was yesterday.
I completely forgot. But I’m pretty bad at remembering birthdays and anniversaries in general.
So please join me in wishing our Lady from the Dark a happy belated 1-year anniversary. And let’s hope she’s not too mad at us.
Whether you discovered Twilight Lady through the Spiderforest webcomic collective (which it recently became a part of) or through some other means… welcome!
We’re currently in the middle of an ongoing tale, but really… it doesn’t matter. There are plenty of folks here (me included) who will gladly fill you in as you go along.
Who is the title character?
The simple answer is… she’s a ghost who’s trapped in our world. Is she monster or heroine? Savior or menace? Depends on who you ask: the authorities – of this world and beyond – that are out to contain her… or the band of dedicated followers gathering to seek her help?
To catch up on what’s already gone down, take a peek at the archives, where chapters are neatly arranged in chronological order. Start from the beginning, or jump in anywhere you like.
Read on, and make up your own mind about the Lady…
From Nov 26 to Feb 5, Twilight Lady received a total of $141 in donations.

January 26th. That’s when Part 2 of “Symphony in the Key of Oblivion” begins.
At the moment, I’m visiting family in Southeast Asia. Even though I’m still working on new pages, the process is a tad slower than normal, hence the need for a short hiatus. In the meantime… for those of a bored, restless persuasion, here are a couple of cool things to check out, related to this comic:
Between Places, one of the most promising new comics on the web (in my humble opinion), recently had a single-panel cameo by our very own Rona Eden. The creator of Between Places, Tiana, happens to be a regular Twilight Lady reader. So there… that’s one thing you and her have in common already. 🙂
You are gonna be sooo sick of me constantly mentioning this, but the new Twilight Lady forum is up and running. I just think it could potentially be a great place for everyone to amuse themselves (and each other), especially when there’s a lull in updates (like now).
That includes me. You see, I’ve come to love updating. Maybe too much. I love seeing new pages going up on this site. And when none are, it hurts. Yeah, when I haven’t got any new pages to upload… it feels sucky, dammit! I think I’m addicted to being a webcomicker. And right now, I’m having to go through withdrawal. 🙁
… I’ve gone and created a forum. Yeah, yeah, I know… seems like the obligatory thing to do… which would be a reason not to do it, but… in the case of Twilight Lady, if you regularly peruse the comments section of each comic page, you would’ve noticed some pretty interesting discussions that have petered out because after a few days, most folks don’t go back to look at a page they’ve already read.
Hence the need for a forum. With all the deep stuff readers sometimes ruminate on here, it seems almost a crime not to start one.
It’s still a work in progress at the moment. The look will definitely improve… consider it a beta version, or a building that’s under construction, but… hey, come on in… just don’t expect the paint to dry and dust to settle for awhile.
I’d like to thank all Twilight Lady readers for, as Rona would say, a pretty darned amazing weird year.
I know updates have been a bit sporadic the past week. The easy excuse for me would be to blame it on the holiday season.
So I will. Hey, even webcomickers have to take time off for family and friends, right?
Rest assured, the Lady and the rest of our colorful ensemble will be back early 2009 as we kick off the second part of “Symphony in the Key of Oblivion”. And so will you, I hope, after you sober up from the new year festivities.
Keep an eye on this space for the return date. I’ll announce it as soon as I sober up myself…
Twilight Lady is now a member of Palace in the Sky Publishing. Take a gander at the roster of webcomics under this collective.
Which ones do you already follow? Are there any you’d especially recommend to Twilight Lady readers? If so, why?
Since the donate button was introduced Aug 30th, Twilight Lady has received a total of $20 in donations.
I’d like to personally thank Rotem from Israel, Adam from UK, Anson from Arizona, and Ralph from New Jersey for being the very first contributors to my virtual tip jar.
