Did you ever decide which character to do a side story of?
Yup, have a couple in the planning stages actually. Watch for an announcement soon…
Please… you’re not actually going to have the zombies rape Jen are you? I think I might have to reevaluate my following of this web comic if you’re willing to go there.
This falls under the “soon-to-be-revealed” category.
Unless… do you really want me to tell you what happens next before you actually read it?
If it has to do with rape, then yes. In my opinion there are very few really good reasons to throw rape into a story. When someone throws in rape by something that should potentially be incapable of the act then my ability to suspend my disbelief is sorely taxed.
I wind up thinking far less of the story and of the writer. I understand bringing a certain horror factor but some things are, in my opinion, going just too far. I have been enjoying the storyline quite a bit so far and would really like to keep following it but if it crosses certain lines then I will move on.
Not saying anything against your comic, just that I have some very clear hard limits, rape in and of itself is very close to the line, anything that goes (in my opinion) needlessly beyond that and it’s time for me to find something else to read.
Once again, please understand that I’m not knocking your comic, you may have some really good reasons for putting your characters through the things that you put them through, but if it starts being a trauma for me to read then I know it’s time for me to move on.
I personally hope that it won’t go that way, I like Twilight Lady and would like to keep following it. But if it stops being enjoyable for me to read, then I see no point in reading it.
Also, I’m not saying that I’m anyone important, or that you should change your storyline just because I’m unhappy with where it looks like the story is going. You have to do what you feel is right to tell your story.
I just prefer to know if it’s about to cross one of my limits so I can choose to move on before I see something happen to a character that I have come to care about, I hope that I’m making sense here.
You’re definitely making sense.
Okay, here goes then…
SPOILER WARNING:
The zombies want to eat Jen, not rape her.
Now, as for how that will turn out…
Thanks, I really appreciate that you told me that. I will keep watching to see what actually happens to Jen and etc…
“What, you don’t like rape?!” – Louis C.K.
Ok on a more serious note, I feel such a traumatic event would make me sympathize with the character far more. Though I already do love Jen 🙂 It’s a story and I feel that it should tell it as it should come out. Rape is a real thing and if it happens, it happens. Just my input sorry 🙂 Anywho, onto my question.
What was Rona’s philosophy/religion before the whole “the Lady changing my life” thing? If I was her I’d be questioning everything. Especially after her otherworldly adventures.
The following scene may shed some light:
