The First Twilight Lady Interview
I was recently interviewed by a rather nice fellow named NJ Goodman, one of the folks behind the Xcentrikz webcomic site, where the interview has just been posted.
Among other startling revelations, I disclose the reason behind the setting for this comic, what I was like in high school, and what’s coming up in the very near future for the Lady in the Hood and her colorful supporting cast.
Though it’s not the first interview I’ve ever done, it is the first one I’ve done that’s about Twilight Lady. So go on over and witness history in the making!
So Rona’s going to be trapped in the Astral plane for the next story?
Perhaps… perhaps not.
Didn’t really think you’d get a straight answer, didja? 🙂
Actually, I did. 😉
The question you didn’t answer, that I’ve been wondering about: What’s the medium you’re working in? You’re getting a nice dimensional, almost modelled, appearance to the characters and settings, but it doesn’t look like 3D software — at least not unless you’re putting each frame through a posterizing process after generating it. Are you willing to share that secret? (As an artist I make a good locksmith, but I like to understand the process.)
Yes, the 3D renders go through a posterizing process in Photoshop.
Ohhh noooesss…. the secret is out!
I’d love to go into more detail, but I’m a really poor teacher, and in any case there are zillions of web tutorials out there on posterizing in Photoshop that can probably do a better job than me.
I do take “it doesn’t look like 3D software” as a compliment, though. Thanks heaps.
