How did you find this comic?
Well, it’s that time again. If you’re a new reader who’s joined in our macabre fun these last couple of months (or a longtime reader who’s yet to comment on one of these threads), it would be very helpful (and greatly appreciated) if you let me know 1) how you discovered Twilight Lady and 2) what other comics (print and/or web) you read and enjoy.
I discovered Twilight through a link from Crowfeathers. I also read Dominic Deegan, Anti-hero for hire, And shine heavon now, Sorcery 101, strange someone, Comedity, Inhuman, God mode and Easy Skankin.
I found you through a banner ad above another web comic. Good stuff!
i originally found the twilight lady through the phoenix requiem, which i read. i have also read sarah’s other comic inverloch. i read/follow: gina biggs’ the red string, picatrix by j.l. haram, the way to your heart by emily muto, xylia tales by b.l. jacobs, patches at genkigirl, the dreamer by lora innes, and abandon: the first vampire by elliot and greg. these are all on the web.
I followed a link from Zona (The Challanges of Zona) I also read lots of other webcomics, Something Positive, Devils Panties, Weird Fishes, Dreamland Chronicles, Alien Dice and everything else at Shivae Studios, Goblins, Zap, YU+ME Dream, Xyliatales, Witch & Cat, Undertow, Three Panel Soul, Zombie Hunters, Tale of Yanlin, Octopus Pie, Seraph-Inn, Outer Circle, Pheonix Requium, Black Fox, Templar Arizona, Star Cross’d Destiny, Shadow Girls, Scary Go Round, Red Sting, No Pink Ponies, College Rommies from Hell, Mows, Misfile, Menage a 3, Megatoyko, Listen to yer Mama, Last Blood, Khaos Komics, Jump Leads, John & John, Invasion, Haru-Sari, Girl Genius, Garanos, Freak Angels, Feral, Explosim, Erth, Earth Song, Dresden Codak, Diesle Sweeties, Ctrl+Alt+Del, Amonazoness, Abandon, Clan of the Cats, Lizzy, Cat Legend, Zebra Girl, Wicked Lazers, Banished, Fish Tank, Penny & Aggie, Strays, Krakow, Dark Wings, Cardboard Angel, Wayfarer’s Moon, Sorethumbs, Dominic Deegan, Inhuman, El Goonish Shive, The Wandering Ones, Drow tales, and some more, but I am sure everyone is not interested in reading more. 🙂
I have a easy job where I pretty much wait for the phone to ring and no one cares what I do on the computer all day, but I have no speakers so I read, A-LOT! Good thing I love reading!
Banner ad on Sinfest. My brother had mentioned it already but the ad reminded me. Was bored at the beginning, but then I recognised some of the lyrics from the Hungry Ghost and I thought, “Hey Isn’t that the guy who did Heaven is a Dark Place, and Evil Never Dies?” I used to listen to that quite regularly on mp3.com (back when mp3.com was wonderful)
Since then I’ve got my wife hooked on it too.
Regards,
Probably through a banner somewhere
I read Megatokyo, Questionable Content, Nobody Scores, Xylia, El Goonish Shive, Wigu, Overcompensating
banner ad somewhere… probably sinfest. i read (i.e frequently check) QC, gunnerkrigg, dinosaur comics, drmcninja… and of course twilightlady. occasionally i try to unravel the message of dresdencodak.
question! being an asian artist and all, why aren’t there all that many asian characters in your comic? just one channeler (with a really bad name) and his crazy petite singaporean wife-ghost (being a singaporean, i’d have to say spot on portrayal of a typical singaporean woman tho! lol!).
Banner ad
I also read Flipside, Pheonix Requium, Naked Elf, Shadowgirls, Dreamer, Strays, Lizzy, Earthsong, Cyanide and Happiness, Sinfest, Station V3, Station Z7
“being an asian artist and all, why aren’t there all that many asian characters in your comic?”
Actually, I’ve heard one or two readers say that for a comic set in the Detroit area, there are a disproportionately high number of Asian characters, if you include Jen and Takami along with Fang and Lianmei. Personally, I don’t think that’s the case, and even if it was… so what, eh? 🙂
Like Akhira, I also found this link through Crowfeathers.
I don’t read very many online comics at all, honestly. However, I am working on a story of my own.
This is very different from others that I have read, (as well as from my own story) and I find it intriguing for reasons I can’t totally figure out. But hey, it just goes to show that you’re talented and that anyone could enjoy this, as long as they’re open-minded about the artistic expression of others.
Yay! <3
ah right, detroit area =p context is not my specialty =p
isn’t takami an alternate personality in alternate dimension? and i didn’t realise jen was asian. i thought she was a pretty scandinavian pixie. my bad =<
I believe it was through a banner ad on Sinfest that I came to Twilight Lady (and have been addicted ever since). On a near-religious basis, I read Sinfest, Girl Genius, Penny & Aggie and Twilight Lady; and I follow links here and there to find others of interest. 🙂
I followed either an advertisement on another webcomic, or one of those links from when you vote on TWC, I don’t remember which.
I read lots of webcomics and like these best:
Girl Genius, the Noob, Questionable Content, Dead Winter, the Zombie Hunters, Goblins, Lizzy, Equinox – Defender of the Horde, Misfile, and Wayfarer’s Moon.
“isn’t takami an alternate personality in alternate dimension?”
Yeah. That’s why it’s up to you whether you choose to include him. 🙂
“and i didn’t realise jen was asian. i thought she was a pretty scandinavian pixie. my bad =<" Not your bad at all. It's never been exactly specified, though some readers have assumed it. To my recollection, I never specified that Fang or Lianmei were Asian either, though I guess that's easier to infer from their names (and the way Lianmei talks).
I found this site from a banner ad like most, and i read A LOT of webcomics, being a major bookworm who frequently finds new webcomics and bookmarks them. Favorites would be Girl Genius, Dominic Deegan, MegaTokyo, Zebra Girl, Emergency Exit, El Goonish Shive, Dreamland Chronicles, DMFA, Return to Eden, The Gods of ArrKelaan, Charby the Vampirate ,Shadowgirls, Gunnerkrigg Court, Dr. Mcninja, Dresden Codak, CRFH, Roza and the Horse Prince, EarthSong, Chasing the Sunset, Corner Alley 13, The Noob, Phoenix Requim, Misfile and Twilight Lady(+ 30 more…)
Via another comic I was reading, I got to the last page, saw a “Other Comics I Recommend!” From the author of it and I saw the name, it was right up my alley I’m glad I took the time to read the first page =D
I found the “you woudn’t like her if she got sleepy” ad at Too Much Information and thought I’d give it a try.
Am much impressed.
It was a banner Ad, I think through EGS or Dreamland Chronicles (I can’t remember which).
Found you through my own advertisement, I think you fans would also like my comic Jovian Luck at http://www.coderedcomics.com
Hey,
I’m enjoying the comic, thanks!
I’m pretty sure I found you in one of the comic lists, but it could have been a banner ad.
I read:
Flipside, Misfile, Gunnerkrigg, QC, The Phoenix Requiem, +EV, Candi, XKCD, Khaos, The Dreamer, Twilight Lady.
Found the comic through buzzcomix, from time to time I like to try something new from there. Twilightlady caught my attention and I’ve been reading it daily ever since. Its got its authentic style, which is really nice. And the story is interesting, as well.
I do read quite a many other comics as well, including questionable content, scary go round, dieselsweeties, the dreamland chronicles, misfile, ctrl alt del, the phoenix requiem, the dreamer, trying human… I don’t even remember the names of all, just open most of them from the buzz page!
So, there you go 🙂
Like many others, by an ad, more precisely on the ‘noob comic’ website.
I discovered some hours ago, and read all the strips since.
Great job, love this (story and look).
I found you by linking from another webcomic, don’t recall which one. A partial list of other comics i enjoy are Too Much Information, Pronquest, PvP, 9 Chickweed Lane, Pibgorn, Helen, 1977, Get Fuzzy, Over The Hedge, Knight Life, Jump Start and School Spirit. A truly eclectic blend, eh?
i dont think there is a comic i would miss:P
i enter http://topwebcomics.com/ from other webcomics to vote, then i see whats new…:P

-Giant in the playground (both comics)
-goblins
-girl genius
-flipside
-faywinds

-earthsong

they are not all of them, but they are the ones which i check for updates and i like most
I’d like to say that I just came here from Phoenix Requiem and have been going through your archives. Excellent work, storyline and art are very well communicated!
As for my comics:
Schlock Mercenary;
Least I Could Do;
xkcd;
Girl Genius Online;
Both “Giant in the Playground” comics; and
Crimson Dark.
Love the work so far, keep it up 🙂
Found this new world through a banner in Too Much Information (tmi-comic.com). I’m lovin’ the spate of great Poser-based comic I’ve found recently (another is Crimson Dark: (davidcsimon.com/crimsondark). Having spent a little time using Poser (or it’s child, DAZ) and a lot of time with PhotoShop, I have a real appreciation for the amount of work — and no small amount of talent — that goes into these comics. That said, they could be as glorious as a Vermeer or Dali and it wouldn’t work if the story doesn’t draw you in. Twilight Lady definitely does. Kudos!
