So far, I like it very, very much! There are several levels of weirdness, but (so far) not too much.
And the review? I mostly agree, except the “somewhat stumbling out of the gate” — jumping in amidst of a story and explaining things later is a very valid storytelling method and even quite preferred over anything else in short stories. And this one is gaining traction more and more, even though a lot of questions are needed to be answered. Kudos so far! Not the least to the Artist!
I’ve always liked the ‘walk into another world’ stories, through I’ve found so few of them. This one’s a good one. The art seems so different from your other works… There was another, similar comic, dealing with weird vines in a house; I think I mixed it up with your comic for a while, and was confusing the continuity. How do *you* work on 3 very different comics with their own specific worlds, and not get confused?
Anyway: Vine- good story, oddly believable (as great fantasy often is), nice artwork (reminds me of romanticized British explorer-type art), and a kind of ephemeral creepiness that nags at me every time I read it.
Thanks for the kind words. I think the fact that these comics are, as you say, very different makes it easier for me to not confuse myself… so far (crosses fingers)…
I’m really enjoying this story so far. The artwork is amazing, and I can’t wait to see where the plot takes us.
I think it is intriuging so far, I would love to read more
Thanks, glad to know.

Stick around and you will!
So far so good. Good story line and well done on the art. Very talented.
Interesting so far; I, too, would like to see where this is heading.
Michael Melchor, writer for comic news site PanelsOnPages.com, did a review of the first 2 issues of VINE this week.
What do you think of the review, folks? Agree or disagree?
Just found this comic, very interesting! I’ll be keeping up from now on, and I’m looking forward to the fourth book!
Thanks. Welcome aboard!
