I’m having difficulties sorting out what’s exactly going on on this page:
“Whoops” — board flying in the direction of the tree and the bench. That’s easy. It even looks like the board is missing the bench by a few feet (in panel 3), so no one is in danger to get hit. But then:
Panel 4: Maddie jumps while the board is in front of her, the bench and the tree are behind her. So everything is basically in the same place as it was in panel 3 (with the exception of the board, which has moved a bit, but this is still fitting).
Panel 5: Maddy is on the board, everybody is looking at her. Board, bench, tree and skating bowl are now behind Maddie. No problem with the board here, but how come that the bench is now facing away from the skating bowl, while it was facing towards it in panel 3 and 4? And since the tree is still behind the bench, they must have traded places, too.
Assume the tree is north of the bench. The bowl is west. The bench faces south. The board flies from west to east.
The postion of the “camera” changes a lot in each frame. But all the objects are positioned in the same directions. Maybe Brent moves closer to Ariel between panel 3 and 4 but Brent is still on Ariels left (east) in all panels.
Madie jumps and also rotates counter clockwise 90 degrees. From facing south to facing east. The “camera” in frame 5 is in the east pointing at Madie and therefore the “camera” is facing west. So the bowl should be behind Madie because the bowl was always on the westside of the park.
*facepalm*
I get it. She could not be bothered to catch the board with her hands because I was expecting that. Instead she had to catch with her feet.
I’ll say it again, (all caps this time) MADDY IS A NINJA.
It’s funny that even Ariel and Brent are surprised. Maddy is also in my top 5 favorite characters for this comic now.
maddy don’t have no fucks to give.
I like how that one guy is too surprised/impressed to make the letter n 😉

Also, artistic license. Did you really want a separate pannal just for that “DAAAAG”?
The bench only rotated mayby 40
Also possible, a fisheye lense!
