School Spirit by Daniel VanderWerff.
I’ve always loved the premise of this comic, which is, as Mr VanderWerff himself describes it, “about growing up in the Australian bush, seen from the perspective of the students of Come-by-Chance Primary, somewhere in county Victoria. The school is right next to the local cemetery, which is populated by ghosts and spirits who play a key role in shaping the way the kids see the world.”
How can one not give School Spirit a try, after reading that?
Interesting where this tale is going…I’m always curious to see how this will dovetail into the previous offering.
Darnit: now I’m hearing that Shriekback song. I never heard a lyric with the word “parthenogenisis” in it.
